EMMA KITES Kevlar Braided Cords, designed by EMMA KITES, are created with natural yellow 100% Kevlar yarns in a range of sizes from 1mm to 4.6mm (100lb to 2,000lb) to suit a variety of indoor and outdoor applications.

The cords are firmly built in braided constructions, offering better resistance to end raveling and higher strength compared to twisted lines. In order to fulfill splicing and hand-crafting needs, Kevlar cords with strengths ranging from 350lb to 1,000lb (1.7mm to 2.6mm) have 8 or 12 strands in single hollow braids, making them ideal for making whoopee slings, loopie slings, continuous loops, and more.

Kevlar cords are inherently flame resistant, capable of withstanding extreme temperatures of up to 800 °F / 427 °C. This makes them ideal for applications requiring flame-resistant properties or for use in high-temperature environments, such as shock lines, parachute systems for model rockets, and torches or lamps.

These cords are highly abrasion and friction resistant, making them reliable for use in wilderness survival scenarios. As a highly efficient cord friction saw, Kevlar cords can help in escaping from plastic zip ties, ropes, or tapes, as well as cutting through various materials including woods, plastic tubes, nylon, and polyesters to complete projects.
